And when battling, now you can dual-wield anything you want: a sword in one hand, and magic in the other. Attack, swinging dual blades, an axe and a hammer, anything, any combo you want, use defences like shields, which you can use as a melee weapon too.
The Elder Scrolls v world is so authentic that it is hard to resist. Ever wanted to walk into a fantasy novel, and be part of it, in a story that is largely unwritten? Yes, now, you as the player, have the power to write your own story in this game.
Everywhere you look things are functional, not just backdrops or props. You can run to the mountains you see on the horizon, and climb to the top of them. But it will take you a long time to get there, just like in real life.
Just looking at the game-play trailers, and noticing the realism and detail I would say that the most amazing thing of all is that the development team was able to get this game to play on existing consoles. I don't think you even need the latest PC to run it.
It is common practise to release games like this, that set a new precedent, on the next generation machines. But the team saw that the 360 had more to give, so they rewrote the engine, and it worked.
