Skyrim is RPG extraordinaire! Incredible, is all I could think the first time I saw the Elder Scrolls v. The new Elder Scrolls v, is so appealing that when I showed it to gamers who have no interest in RPG, they were ready to get a copy.

The fun derived from fighting a fearsome dragon, conquering it, and absorbing its soul, and getting its powers, is hard to resist. Very cool! And when battling, now you can dual-wield anything you want: a sword in one hand, and magic in the other. Attack, swinging dual blades, an axe and a hammer, anything, any combo you want, use defences like shields, which you can use as a melee weapon too.

The realm of the new Elder Scrolls v is just too real looking, too inviting to resist. Its like walking into middle earth, but better because it is a fantasy story that is largely unwritten. Yes, now, you as the player, have the power to write your own story in this game.

Even the mountains in the background are not just props, or painted vistas: you can run to them, and climb to the top of them, but be aware that it will take you a long time to get there, but the same thing would happen in the real world too.

Getting this game to play on existing consoles is one of the most amazing things of all. As far as I have heard, even PCs do not need to be upgraded that much.

Are bench mark setting games like this normally released on the next generation machines? Yes. But the team saw that the 360 had more to give, so they rewrote the engine, and it worked.
