Being Caught For Drink Driving Explained In Full
There comes a time when one needs to hold up their hands and to admit to the fact that they have made a mistake - and this is something that I have had to do over the last few months. I did something which I still to this day can not believe that I did do - something which I am extremely ashamed of. I made the stupid decision to drive home after drinking a number of pints of beer during a night out. I was then duly stopped by the police and was found to be driving over the drink drive limit.
The reality of just how massive a mistake I had made soon set in. It was a truly horrible experience where I just felt very stupid - I just wanted to cry in reality, which may sound crazy to some of the readers of this article. It was not that I was feeling sorry for myself - it was just that I wanted to go back a few hours and to have decided to phone a taxi rather than driving home. I was also thinking about what my family, friends and work colleagues would think of me etc. I have been caught drink driving I thought to myself - how could I have allowed myself to get into this type of mess?
As I sat in the cell awaiting further news from the police I had plenty of time to contemplate what had happened. I came up with a simple conclusion: As a sober person I despise people who drink and drive but after a few alcoholic drinks my brain told me that it was OK to do. Alcohol has often caused me to get into trouble over the past six years or so, things such as stupid fights or arguments. There was only one thing for it - I had to give up the booze.
I eventually left the police station and began my search for local drink driving solicitors. I feel that I have managed to fing a positive out of a negative as even to this day I have not consumed any more alcohol - and I have to say that I feel so much happier and not to mention healthier for it.
