Call Of Duty Games: FPS Games Are Fun And Modern Warfare Is One Of The Best Onse Going

What might be wrong with Call of Duty games? Not much. But for me its the incredibly quick time it takes to finish the story line in MW 3. If you think about MW 3 is very expensive compared to the game play, which can be done it around 14 hours.

Take Skyrim into account. It is essentially an FPS game combined with RPG. Now it is likely that it will take you about 200 hours to go through just the main quest line, side lines not included.

And because of its free roaming capability, and advanced AI that gives real life and randomness to NPCs, you have thousands of hours of game play waiting for you, and it is a bit cheaper than Call of Duty games.

Plus, no matter where you go, there is always something to do in Skyrim, which has nothing to do with the story line.

Lets be honest. FPS games like Call of Duty games are becoming shorter. With little redesign of the game engine, honestly its a bit of a cash grab. Like all products that see the light of incredible success the Modern Warfare series is more about putting the product out as quickly as you can, it was not long ago the Black OPs appeared. Success has forced the developers to think more about money before the player. I ask the question: is Modern Warfare 3 really that different from MW 2?

Not so for Skyrim! No they care about their players. They have put out a truly innovative game building upon its predecessor: Oblivion. This was not done for Modern Warfare 3, why? I’ll tell you why

First off there are two kinds of games. Islands games and Alley games are the categories. The Call of Duty games, or FPS, are almost always Alley games. In an alley game the player is led down a certain constrained path, where game boundaries are usually right beside you.

Boundaries are not immediately perceptible in Island games, and are often referred to as sandbox games, popular for RPGs. It might take you all day to walk to one.

What’s my point? I think it would be really cool if future games like MW were created like an Island game, to give the player more play time hours. It is obvious that multi-player and survival mode, is were the hours of play time can be found in Call of Duty.

But what I’m getting at is having an FPS game that empowers the player more, so the player can determine the way the game will evolve. Call it a cross-genre fps. Expanding the boundaries would be great, and it doesn't have to be RPG, but you would be able to build on your combat skills.

Hold on. I know that alley style games heighten the drama of the game play, and I love MW 2 and 3. I think they are the best FPS games out there. For once, it is time to start thinking outside the box.

Since the combat is still FPS, I like to play Skyrim. I would suggest you do get the Call of Duty games, and make sure you get Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and 3. They are a lot of fun
