In the book of Romans, chapter one, it says that we are created with an innate awareness of your Heavenly Father and His attributes and attempting to put a shroud on top of the truth will not change it.
The worst thing about your sin, which leads to having guilt, is that it removes us from our Heavenly Father. That separation, if not revived, leads to spiritual death and separation from Him forever . Fortunately, your Heavenly Father desires all broken relations to be revived and has supplied a way for reconciling. Reconciliation takes place when one believes that God sent His sinless Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross as a sacrifice for their sins and acknowledge their desperate need for God's Son's sacrifice. Thru Jesus death on the cross, Jesus enables for any person who believe to get God's clemency of all of their sin, no matter how great or little. Your Heavenly Father is willing to forgive (officially release from any punishment i.e, never-ending death) and pardon any one who ask and believe. After being forgiven, we are now not guilty for He pardons our sin and takes away the guilt of it. God does this due to His great love for us and His want that we live our life forgiven and free from the guilt that exhausts and weighs us down.
Does that suggest we wont keep doing things that may lead to guilt? Definitely not, but God tells us when that occurs if we ask for forgiveness, He is trustworthy and just to forgive us our sins and to clean us from all our unrighteousness. I John 19.
There is no reason for this guilt to weigh you down any more, not when your Heavenly Father, the only One with the power to forgive, is ready and waiting and enthusiastic to forgive you and set you free.
